I recently revisited N. Zealand (worked there 30 yrs ago ). With a son in college I am on a tight budget. Stayed with B&B host in country. Hotel rooms ran $80 and up a night. Saved enough to go out to fancy resturants for dinner while there. Also hotels do not meet you at the bus stop and drive you around for a tour of the city. Host went out of their way to make my visit special. Thank you .
