We just returned from our two week trip to Alaska. The first week was spent aboard ship, the second driving in Alaska where we enjoyed our stays with Maynard and Kristina in Palmer, Ted and Elizabeth in Fairbanks and Barbara in Anchorage. In each case, our hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home and fed us extremely well. We enjoyed conversation as well as the beautiful and interesting surroundings of each home. Even after waking one couple with our initial call because of the time difference, we were still welcomed and forgiven the faux pas.
